Fred Lee Hodge, age 73, a resident of Covington since 1904, died at 7:25 p. m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the Ingram Convalescent Home, Second St., where he had been a patient one day. Mr. Hodge was born in Ogden, Ill. on Dec. 20, 1888, the son of Daniel and Flora Mae McKinney Hodge. He was married to Mary White in 1916 and in 1921 to Hattie Harper Allen who preceded him in death March 3, 1954. He retired in 1956 as a laborer from the Neal Gravel Co., here where he had worked for many years. Surviving Mr. Hodge are: one son, David Earl Hodge of Danville, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Gorlow of Buffalo, N. Y., and Mrs. Betty Defebaugh of Tilton, Ill.; two stepchildren, Wilson Allen of Covington and Mrs. Marjorie Mulry of Buffalo, N. Y.; 13 grandchildren; three brothers, William Hodge of Covington, Jess of Oakland, Calif., and Frank of Hayworth, Calif.; and three sisters, Mrs. Minnie West, Mrs. Bertha Cruea and Mrs. Nellie Levi, all of Covington. He was preceded in death by his wife, one son and three sisters. The body is at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home where friends may call after noon Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon (CST) at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. Roger James will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.  --typed by Walt W
